Andreas

Postlmayr

Andreas started his academic career studying biology at the University of Vienna. For his master thesis, he worked at the Centre for Stem Cell Research (University of Cambridge UK) investigating transcription factors involved in pluripotency. During his doctoral studies at the ETH Zurich, he characterized a mechanism involved in X-chromosome inactivation. After his successful defense, he joined the University Children’s Hospital Zurich. His research interests include causes of tumor recurrence in medulloblastoma and glioma, as well as molecular mechanisms underlying tumor formation in gliomas driven by oncofusions.
