Ernesto obtained his bachelor’s degree in Biology at UAM Madrid and subsequently did his Masters in Neuroscience at UVA Amsterdam. He later joined Dr. Wiep Scheper’s neurodegeneration group and in February 2021 moved to Zurich, working as a research technician at Prof. Dr. Roland Martin’s neuroimmunology group at the University Hospital Zurich. He is a research associate at Prof. Guerreiro Stücklin’s group at University Children’s Hospital Zurich since August 2022. He is implementing a drug response profiling platform for pediatric brain tumors, focusing on recurrent medulloblastoma, glioma and other tumors with limited curative therapies.
